Amanda Webb


Managing Director

Amanda qualified in 2000 and has worked in a number of senior roles through to Financial Director.

She has worked in Corporates and SMEs, from quoted businesses to Venture Capital funded acquisitions and Owner Managed companies.

Sectors included Software, Financial Services and Telecoms.

This has given Amanda an exceptionally wide portfolio of skills and she is equally happy in a board room, managing contracts worth hundreds of millions, or getting stuck into the detail of a new invoicing system.

Amanda is passionate about the difference the right financial support and management information can make to a business, any business. So she set up The Sunflower Group in 2015.

She loves working in partnership with business owners/managers, providing the support and insight needed to run and grow a successful company.

In 2008 Amanda qualified as a Coach and she finds these additional skills invaluable when working with senior employees and company owners.

During her downtime Amanda is kept busy with her 4 year old. Should there be time left over she loves to scuba dive.


David Callé


Technical Director

David’s career has been extensive and varied, working for some of the largest companies in their fields as well as supporting the owners of a range of small and medium sized business across a wide variety of sectors. His experience reaches well beyond the traditional Finance Director remit, he also has expertise in operational management and contract negotiations.

One of David’s biggest achievements to date was to instigate and lead a management buyout of Quattro Plant Ltd. His leadership then took the company to new heights, becoming the 29th fastest growing private company in the UK as listed in the Sunday Times, BDO Profit Trak 100. He secured funding of £24m which replaced much more risky funding and, also, raised £12m to facilitate an acquisition.

David’s skill base doesn’t end there. He has worked with a portfolio of companies as diverse as a start-up internet dating agency to a foreign exchange broker with a £200m turnover. He has worked across a broad range of sectors including rail, retail, distribution, manufacturing and information technology (hardware & software).

David is serious and diligent in his work but also brings a dry, self-deprecating sense of humour that makes working with him a pleasure.


Sarah Prideaux Turner

FCCA Prize Winner

Sarah is a highly experienced and motivated senior Finance Professional who has specialised in fast growth hi-tech companies including Software and Bio-Tech for over 20 years.

She is particularly experienced in working in high pressure, fast moving environments where attention to detail, combined with an excellent commercial understanding of the business and environment, is critical.

Sarah trained with Stoy Hayward for two years and then moved to South Africa where she worked in a variety of industries.

Returning to the UK six years later she continued to broaden her sector experience, working in Senior Finance roles across media, advertising, manufacturing and defence.

Following a few years at a fast growing UK software group, Sarah moved into a European position and held a number of senior Finance roles in Europe as well as internationally.

Sarah’s skills and experience are extremely portable to any sector, company size or country.

Having worked across a number of cultures and with different local accounting requirements Sarah is very knowledgeable and quickly adapts to different environments.

Personally, Sarah particularly enjoys working with people and mentoring.

Mike Thompson


Finance Director

Mike is a seasoned hands-on Finance Director with outstanding people and IT skills.

With over 20 years board level experience he helps management work more on their business and less in the business.

His senior finance experience covers a wide range of sectors, from multinationals to smaller complex technology companies and start up clients.

As Financial Director, Mike has successfully supported company growth, turnarounds and business sales and purchases, comfortably working across the whole business to provide not just an output, but an outcome.

Although very much objective focused, Mike has a fun working style.

Mike now works as Commercial Finance Partner to the boards of technology and fast growing start-up companies, implementing best practice and upskilling teams, to transform the finance department and leave behind a legacy to support a culture for ongoing financial excellence.

Mike is also a member, and former director of The Association for Business Psychology

Between assignments, Mike loves to undertake long distance travel, soaking up new cultures
and environments – although the next world trip is a few years off yet.

Chris Langridge


Chris is an experienced senior Financial Manager with sound judgement and proven diplomatic skills.
He has the ability to get up to speed quickly on new issues as well as the experience to create confidence and trust when faced with difficult situations.

Qualifying with Ernst & Young he went on to gain significant experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, in listed and private companies in the UK, Asia and the USA.

Specialising in trouble shooting and issue resolution, Chris has a proven record of business turnaround and improvement.

His most recent project delivered turnover growth from £4m to £7.8m over two years, achieved through reviewing processes and improving productivity by overseeing capital investment for growth.

Having spent much of his senior career working with medium and large organisations, Chris is passionate about bringing the benefits of senior Financial Support to small companies and start-ups.

Over the last 10 years he has focused on supporting and mentoring businesses with under £10m in turnover.

In his spare time Chris is actively involved with charitable projects, both in the UK and abroad, and enjoys the outdoors.
